I think our country is being ruined so some greedy people can rake in as much cash as they can get their greedy fingers on.
I was surprised at some of our rankings. Of course, this is just one source....it may not be 100% correct, but I did some other digging and sadly, we aren't first in most things. We are #1 for military spending though.
